A device for positioning a sheet separator for a stack of sheets in a sheet feeder includes a drive for the sheet separator operable for moving the latter in two opposite directions. A stop gauge for the rear edge of the sheet stack is slidably supported on an insulating block which is rotatable on the sheet separator. The lower end of the stop gauge is provided with a feeler roller to engage the upper side of the stack, and the opposite end of the stop gauge is provided with a flag cooperating with an inductive switch. The latter switch controls the direction of rotation of the driving motor for the separator. The rotary block controls another switch which stops the motor when the separator attains its desired position. A light barrier switch is arranged at the level of the desired height of the stack and determines the active or inactive condition of the positioning device.

The invention relates to sheet-feeding devices of sheet-processing machines, in particular, devices for positioning, in accordance with the format of, a stack of sheets of a sheet-separator in self-loaders. A device is known (laid out in the application of the Federal Republic of Germany No. 2750105, class B 65 N 9/04, published 10.05.79), with the help of which the stops of sheet machines can be adjusted depending on the format of the sheets being processed. In this case, the stops mounted in the direction of movement of the sheets are firmly attached to the separator and set in motion with it by means of, for example, a lead screw moved from the engine. The format required by the size of the sheet being processed is set with a probe with a measuring bar provided for this. Thanks to this device, a reduction in manual operations is achieved. However, to install a separator at a predetermined position, it uses sophisticated hardware in the form of positioning devices equipped with electronics, digital indication and the possibility of pre-installation. The separator in the known device moves to a predetermined position without taking into account the actual position of the stocks, which requires an adjustment of the installation of the separator associated with a great waste of time. In addition, damage to the upper sheets of the stocks by stops is not excluded. The known method (GDR patent No. 107638, cl. B 41 F 33/14, published 12.08.74) installs adjustable masking elements depending on the format of sheets that are detachable from the stocks, according to which the probe moves in synchrony with the movement of the regulated organ, following the edge of the sheets, and the drive of the adjustable organ and probe is switched off as soon as the latter reaches the edge of the sheet stocks. This method partially solves the problem mentioned. However, he assumes that before changing the format the separator must be set to zero (initial) position, from which it can always be positioned only in one direction. If the installation of a leaf separator does not follow in the initial position, then when entering a new pile of sheets, the elements of the maschine may break down and the stocks may be damaged. The aim of the invention is to eliminate the drawbacks of the known technical solutions. The basis of the invention is the task of creating such a device for positioning a sheet separator according to the foot format, with which the samonaklad sheet separator, regardless of its previous position, after entering the new sheet of stocks into the sheet feeder or automatically takes the correct position relative to the edge of the sheet of stocks . FIG. 1 shows a partial diagram of the feeder, side view; in fig. 2 - the same, partial top view; in fig. 3 — means of controlling the position of the separator with the probe; in fig. 4 is a view A of FIG. 3; in fig. 5 — system for engaging the drive screw drive motor; in fig. 6 is a diagram of the drive screw drive motor. A device for positioning in accordance with the format of a stack of sheets of a separator 1 comprises a mechanism for moving the separator along the guide 2, including an electric motor 23 and a connecting screw 3 associated with it, an activation system of the electric motor 23 and means of controlling the position of the separator 1 relative to the foot of sheets 4, electrically connected with the system of turning on the motor 23. One of the means of controlling the position of the separator 1 is made in the form of a photosensor 7 monitoring the upper level of the foot 4. Another means of monitoring the position of the separator 1 relative to the foot of the sheets 4 includes a pin 8 fixed to the separator 1 parallel to the rear edge of the sheets in the foot 4 of the rod 8 with the stop 12, the guide 10 mounted on the rod 8 rotatably about its axis, spring-loaded in the circumferential direction of the rod 8 by the spring 13 and a carrier stop 11 for interacting with the stop 12 of the rod 8, an induction switch 17, rigidly connected with the guide 10 and electrically connected to the starting system of the electric motor 23, probe for 5 and a lower end with a foot 4, mounted in the guide 10 and carrying a flag 16 at the upper end for interacting with the induction switch 17, and a pair of contacts fixed to the stops 11 and 12 of the guide 10 and the rod 8 electrically connected to the motor starting system 23. The lower end of the probe 5 is made bent in the opposite direction of sheet feeding from the foot 4 side and can carry the contact roller 15. On the rod 8 (FIG. 2) two bearing probes 5 guides 10 can be strengthened. Mounted on the rod 8 between the clamping ring 14 and the bracket 9, by means of which the guide 10 is mounted on the rod 8, the torsion spring 13 transmits the twisting force in a clockwise direction to the adjustable clamping ring 14 on the bracket 9, so that the stops 11 and 12 are in contact. The induction switch 17, as well as the photosensor 7, is connected to the amplifier 18 of the motor switching system, to which two switching relays 19 and 20 belong. The motor switching system also contains contactors 21 and 22 through which the motor 23 is turned on and which can Limit switches 24 and 25 must be attached. Before the auxiliary relay 26, there is a switch for interrupting the ground potential, which is formed by fixed on stops AND and 12 contacts. Another auxiliary relay 27 is given a capacitor. The device for positioning works as follows. When the sensor 7 controlling the upper level of the foot 4 is triggered, the relay 20 is activated and its contacts 20 are closed, which corresponds to the readiness of the device for positioning to work. In principle, there are two possible adjustments resulting from a more or less random position of the separator relative to the foot 4. If the separator is placed above the foot of sheets 4, then when the foot 4 is raised, the probe 5 moves up along the guide 10. At this time, the flag 16 is outside the floor, an induction switch 17 operating in a short-time generating mode. The induction switch 17 outputs the signal L, which, through amplifier 18, switches the contactor 21 to the switching relay 19 and the switching contact 19. As a result, the electric motor 23 moves the separator 1 through the lead screw 3 towards the trailing edge of the sheets 4. As soon as the probe 5 comes off foot 4 and goes down in guide 10, flag 16 enters the inductive field. FIG. a switch 17, the latter gives a signal "O, as a result of which the contacts 19 of the relay .19 return to the initial position (Fig. 5). The contactor 22 is turned on and the motor changes the direction of rotation of the drive; screw. The separator 1 will now move in the opposite direction until the probe 5 stops the stack of sheets and starts to turn the guide 10 on the rod 8, and with it the stop 11, retracted from the stop 12 and the release fixed to these stops contacts. As a result of the opening of these contacts, the auxiliary relay 26 is turned on, as a result of which the contacts of the opening 26 de-energize the contactor 22 and the motor 23 stops. Simultaneously, the contacts 26 are closed and the relay 27 is triggered, so that its contacts 27 are closed and the contacts 27 open. The opening of the contacts 27 of the device for positioning is turned off, the capacitor eliminates contact crossings. If, however, the separator 1 is located behind the stack of sheets 4, then after the photosensor 7 has triggered immediately from the induction switch 17, the contactor 22 is turned on in the manner described, and the further operation of the device proceeds as described. Auxiliary relays 26 and 27, as well as a capacitor, form a memory circuit that operates every time until the next photoelectric barrier of sensor 7 is interrupted, so that the positioning device is only activated when changing the format of the sheet stocks.
